On the prime-material world of Toril, Ilmater is a god of suffering, martyrdom, and perseverance. Also known as the Broken God or The One Who Endures, he is allied with Tyr, and is the sworn foe of Loviatar. At all opportunities, Loviatar's faithful will seek to torment Ilmater's people, forcing them to watch the suffering of others. Among his other foes are Malar and Talos.
