This slender elf is perhaps 5 foot 8 and moves with a smooth and confident gait. He doesn't seem to have more than an average amount of muscle perhaps. He's most commonly seen in a dark greenish duster coat, he has a number of pockets in the coat and carries no pouches. His shirt beneath is covered in thin dark gold chains, giving it an appearance similar at a glance to a chain shirt. The collar of his shirt extends upwards offering minimal protection to his neck. He's usually seen wearing a heavy cloth mask that covers his head entirely; sewn into the cloth is a pair of goggles, leaving none of his skin exposed and his eyes only barely visible moving behind the lenses.

If he happens to reveal any skin or remove his helmet he appears in one of two forms with the same physical build mentioned above:
His skin and hair are black as a patch of midnight that had never been cleared away. Even the whites of his eyes are black, yet his irises themselves are golden. He bears a number of scars despite his remarkably non-martial appearance. His features are angular and his nose is a bit narrow. his pointed ears are a little shorter than a typical elf's and bear a couple simple piercings. His hair is a somewhat shaggy length, but he keeps it fairly neat and secured away from his face.
 
He has moon white skin, smooth and unblemished, and his eyes are like golden sunlight. His features are angular, and a careful eye might detect his facial structure seems mostly sun-elven. His nose is narrow and his pointed ears peek out from his hair. His hair, a warm black in color, is kept away from his face, an inch or two less than shoulder length and tied back neatly. In one of his ears he has a couple very simple looking piercings.
 
The second is almost precisely like the first, save for the fact that his skin and hair are black as a patch of midnight, and the whites of his eyes are black as well. He also has a number of scars in this form including but not limited to scars encircling his wrists, ankles, and neck, and a scar on his lower back.

Personality

Jay is somewhat awkward, but he generally seems nice. He really seems to enjoy in depth discussions on academic topics. He is a little silly, even performing magic tricks despite the major advantage his arcane training gives him at it. He does a pretty reasonable job of showmanship with his tricks, though. At times he can even be charming. However, like anyone, he isn't always sweet; at times he can get spiteful and angry. He also seems to get quickly frustrated in large crowds.

Relationships

He seems to get along reasonably well with Elianes, even though he protests her treating him like a child. Usually if they are around each other he stands near her even when not speaking directly to her. He works for SIGIS, so Nileen is his boss, but he doesn't treat her like a boss. They joke around a bit and he seems to get along with her.
