You empower the touched weapon with a +1 Enhancement Bonus per 5 Caster Levels (maximum of +4 EB at 20 CL). You can either directly target the weapon you want to cast this spell on, or you can target a creature, affecting the creature's main hand weapon.
The EB caps at +4, but in order to go above the cap, the caster has to fulfill only one of these criteria:
- At least 8 levels in either Wizard, Cleric or Sorcerer
- At least 12 levels in either Bard or Evangelist
- At least 21 levels in either Paladin or Blackguard
At CL 25 and with at least one of the criteria filled, the EB is +5. Practiced Caster counts for reaching the CL breakpoints, but not for unlocking the base cap.
Racial HD are included as caster levels for the purpose of calculating total caster levels.
