Sigil has multiple systems and content designed to enhance the quality of your play and roleplay

1. Quest System- perform tasks and missions for NPCs among the planes to earn xp, gold, and a Reputation. See more.

1. Roleplay XP system- earn XP automatically while you roleplay IG.

1. Exploration XP system- earn XP when you hit certain spots exploring the planes.

1. Portals and Keys- To use the portals Sigil is famous for, you're going to have to acquire the keys to each one...

1. Custom Spells- Sigil has extra spell content for caster classes and certain PRCs.See our spell pages here.

1. Custom Skills- Extra skill options for use in roleplay, DM events, item creation and mechanics. e.g Knowledge and Profession skills. See class pages for more.

1. Alternate Fighting Styles- use the /styles command to choose from 11 alternate combat animations for swordarms, monks, or mages.

1. Language System: Use Language Widgets to translate your speech into words only other speakers can understand. Click here for a list of languages.

1. Automatic Dicebag System- see chat commands below.

1. Find Players System- use chat commands to reveal locations of other characters or hide your own.

1. Custom Summons- collect Summoning Books in-game to conjure unique racial types like celestials, demons, elementals and more.

1. Summon Commands and Speech: To make text appear through your summon, type /dm ;speech here. Commands include /dismiss and /gather. See chat commands for more.

1. PvP System: Use Subdual mode to disable players instead of outright killing them. See chat commands.

1. Teleportation and Planeshifting- Travel the planes with the Teleport and Planeshift spells that can instantly transport you or your party across the server.

1. Hostile Environmental Effects- Not all planes are friendly. You can drown in the water plane, or burn alive in the fire plane.

1. 'Mark' Environmental Permanency Tool- Leave a piece of your roleplay behind by placing a 'Mark,' a small selectable placeable whose floating text and description you can customize. E.G: *A pool of blood and feathers on the road.* Lasts until destruction or reset. See chat commands for more.

1. Spell Focus Enhancements- Taking Spell Focus: Conjuration will increase the level of your summons by 1. Summon Creature III becomes IV and so on.

1. Drug/Addiction System- Sigil's a dirty place with dirty deeds. Become a dealer or a doer. Drugs can give bonuses, but not without risk.

1. Lycanthropy Widgets- Being a lycan is very different in planes without moons. You may find your character triggered to transformation by other things, unpredictable outside of a cycle!

ExpandChat Commands

• /help Lists all available chat commands.

• /listpcs or /findplayers Lists players available for RP in the areas they are located in. Note that even if they are listed, common sense and courtesy should be exercised to prevent metagaming (see Server Information and Rules).
• /setfindable Makes a player findable using /listpcs or /findplayers. Players are findable by default every sever reset period.
• /setunfindable Removes a player from the findable list. This remains set until /setfindable is used or until the next server reset.
• /d# or /#d# such as /d20 or /2d20 Rolls a numbered die.
• /<name of skill> such as /spot or /wis. For skills such as Knowledge or Profession, type the last word of the skill (Knowledge: The Planes /planes Profession: Bookkeeper /bookkeeper). For skills such as Escape Artist or Sense Motive, use the entire word combined (/escapeartist, /sensemotive).
• /<name of emote> e.g /sit, (/point /points), (/think /rubchin /holdchin), (/headache /head), (/crossarms /cross), (/beckon /come), (/crouch /hide), (/hang /tiedup), (/smash /hammer), (/sleep /liedown)
• /afk Activates AFK mode, immobilizing the PC and moving them to the AFK lounge. It will not function during or immediately following combat.
• /xp Tells a player how much XP can be earned through hunting kills. A certain amount of XP must be earned through RP XP, such as through DM fairies and auto-fairy.
• /gather Jumps your henchman/familiar/summon to your location on the map, for those pesky AI pathing problems.
• /dismiss Removes any henchmen, familiars, summons, or animal companions.
• /dms Lists currently available DMs. Note that DMs may also set themselves unfindable, nor does one being on this list mean they are available to help. Patience is vital.
• /styles for a list of 11 fighting styles to choose from.
• /freeze, /unlock, or /unfreeze- Makes your character immovable. Avoids misclicks and running during RP.
• /mark Creates a placeable with a description. Type /mark for the syntax format. Damaging the mark will remove it.
• /deskin Removes skin visual effects such as stoneskin or barkskin from a player.
• /reveal Removes all invisibility effects from a player.
• /weaponvfx Add or remove visual effects on weapons.
• /spellvfxoff Disables some spell effects/buffs from appearing.
• /skinvfxoff Disables skin effects from spells like barkskin or stoneskin.
• /respawn Toggles the location a player respawns at, from either their bind location (default) or at the same location. *Your XP loss at death will be immense if you choose to respawn at location/where you died*
• /subdual Toggles subdual mode on or off. In subdual mode, a player will not kill another in combat, but instead leave them winded. The default setting of subdual mode is off, and is reset to off every server reset.
• /damageme Damages the player for the amount specified, not exceeding hit point total.
• /suicide Kills the player. This must be entered twice for confirmation.
