Appearance:

Portrait - [1]

This young woman is apparently of human blood, still in the cusp of adulthood. She bears the tan of someone who has spent many hours in the blazing sun of the primes. Her body is fit, but accentuated with ample curves at her hips.

A cascade of flaxen blond hair falls past her shoulders, framing a face that is pleasant, a bit shy of "beautiful" standards. But her eyes of brightest blue are large, and always bear a wonder and curiosity for anything she sees. Of late she's been wearing braids at her temples, adorned with beads, shells and feathers as the decor suits her.

Her clothing is usually simple and utilitarian, geared more toward the open paths than a dining hall or ballroom. And around her neck dangle two similar, but different pendants: One is the figure of the Toril god of wanderers, Shaundakul. The other is the Oerdian god of the same, Fharlanghn.

Personality:

Annalynne keeps to herself at times, a little hesitant to be outgoing to a stranger. She lacks confidence in casual conversation and with her abilities, but the moment she talks about planeswalking, her one true love, all shyness and apprehension melts away to reveal the wealth of knowledge she has gathered in the short time she’s spent as a Horizon Walker. She is tolerant and patient, perhaps to a fault.

Relations:

Annalynne has few close friends. The soft spoken ranger has slowly made friendships among other travelers in the City of Doors. Ixyys the mage has traveled with her on occasion, and she has made friends and traveled with the Sensates Shalira Vercci and Lily Kenner. Most recently, she’s befriended a fellow Torilian, the air genasi Zahia ul-Naseem, with whom she travels regularly, and signs point to a kindling affection between them. While she may not be outgoing, and knit quickly with others, most bashers about the Fulcrum seem to regard the youngling favorably.

Accomplishments:

Every new landmark, every new plane she gets to walk is an accomplishment to Annalynne, which she records with notes and sketches in her large drawing pad.

Goals:

Annalynne's ultimate goal is to truly walk every possible horizon she can reach from the City of Doors. She also keeps to heart the teachings of her father to respect the wilds, and keep them safe.

History:

Annalynne was the adopted daughter of two Torilian rangers. Her mother was an explorer and mapmaker. Her father was a Sword of Selune, and lycan hunter, who ended up being the Warden of a large forest upon the archipelago where they lived. Annalynne was sent from the Faerunian mainland by a former lover of her father, as a dying wish for him to raise her as his own. The letter that accompanied the six year old child claimed she was the lover’s sister. However, Annalynne looks strikingly like her much elder sister, with the exception of sandy blond hair similar to that of her adoptive father.

Annalynne and her adoptive mother spent many years after that back on the mainland in hiding, to protect them from enemies her father had made over the years — Malarites, lycans, and others who would try to get to him through those he loved. When her father retired, Annalynne returned with her mother back to the island chain to a secluded cabin in the forest.

The youngling grew under the watchful eye and teaching of her parents. Her father taught her the cycle of nature and balance, and how to track and defend herself, while her mother imparted her skill with the bow and her love for travel and exploration. Annalynne cut her teeth on planeswalking through her parents taking her to see the planes through a planar fulcrum on the islands that her father had a part in constructing. And when she came of age, at sixteen, the young ranger decided she wanted to become a horizon walker, and explore the cosmos.

Annalynne’s earliest trip on her own took her to Oerth, where she came to know her second Patron, Fharlanghn. Annalynne is curious of the differences in the Powers from world to world, and suspects many are merely aspects of the same Power on different worlds, much as she believes is the case for Fharlanghn and Shaundakul. She hopes that her exploration of the planes might confirm or deny this thesis.

Three short years of exploring has taken the young planeswalker to two worlds and beyond. Only her ability and her ambition limit how far she may go from here.
