Shalira Vercci is a sorceress that frequents Sigil. She is often working with the Sensates (both in Sigil and their various other chapters,) in the The Clerk's Ward Acrhives, or traveling the planes.

Description

Shalira stands at five feet and eight inches, and possesses a semi-athletic build. Her clothing often favors functional features with some style, though some are clearly just for show or comfort. She doesn't carry many accessories, though always has a pendant or amulet of some sort tucked into her shirt. When her arms are bared, she displays numerous tattoos of stars and constellations that ring her biceps to her forearms. They appear to be recently done, and a close observer may note that positioning changes every few days or weeks.

Associations

Shalira keeps has some associations, but currently her strongest ties are likely to those within the Society of Sensation or involved with the Archives

The Dark

Sorcery

Shalira is a sorceress. She rarely tries to hide such a fact and even takes a deal of pride in it. By most accounts, her magic favors transmutation and she has a penchant for turning things to stone if they offend her overly much. Some chant makes her out to be something more than a sorceress though. Some [strange] people whisper that she may actually be made of magic, and that she has a unicorn she rides everywhere.

The Archives

Likely Shalira's most visible project within Sigil. She has a building located in the Clerk's Ward that she keeps as library and art gallery for public use. She can often be found here, or at the very least contacted through the always present Merie. The books Shalira has collected - a hobby many would consider unusual for a sorceress - range from mere children's tales to odd magical theories and unusual dogmatic philosophies. There's chant that she holds secret cult meetings and dark rituals in her basement.

Cult of the Lost God(s)

Little is done by Shalira to hide her ambition or at least desire to expand her faith. In her Archives is a prominent shrine to some so-called Lost God. When questioned on who the power is, the chit's usual answer is a consistent "I don't know the full dark of it myself, but..." After which she espouses the conjecture and merits of the apparently sleeping deity. It's said to have no known name, and to reside over lost things - Knowledge, causes, socks, anything forgotten - and rumored to have many dormant domains.

Keeper of the Cerulean Sign

Another of the sorceress's aspects she doesn't seem too keen to conceal. Shalira frequently voices her antipathy of things aberrant and far-related. She often shows off some flashy blue pendant with a fancy willow tree motif when such things present themselves around her company. It's said her already potent magic can have an even greater effect on the nightmarish creatures.

Society of Sensation

Apart from or perhaps connected to everything else she does, Shalira is a sensate. A factotum to be exact, and she probably has a desire to reach for factor. She's known to have contributed various unusual sensory stones, and to go out of her way to find lost and forgotten locales for further expansion on her personal cache.

Children

Chant is that this chit is older than she looks and has two grown children. Some say it's Grettir's offspring and should likely be killed out of mercy, or maybe spite. A few rumors say they could be the product of some one else, too. Shalira doesn't clarify who the father was, but it's clear she cares for them whenever she speaks of them.
