Appearance

Dressed in armor, Harian simply looks like a young human planeswalker, long black hair with slightly amber skin and a short height by human standard, he travels with a metal plate and a long cloak that helps him carry many of his weapons, one backpack on his shoulders and a hood with body mask on his face, Harian is not afraid to use "dirty" means in combat and you can see: demonic amulets, angel flesh-mask, lizard-like claws and magic sticks hanging on his person.

Even if not visible to those who see him in armor, his body is a patchwork of large scars, chunks of missing flesh supported by metal mesh, and stitch marks, despite his hesitance to show his body (especially to ladies, whom he believes would be repulsed), Harian never uses regeneration magic to remove them or repair his body, choosing to keep the scars as a reminder of his many battles.

Background Information

BEFORE SIGIL:

The planeswalker was born in the city of Waterdeep, the son of a priest of Kelemvor and an adventurer from Mullhorand, unfortunately for him his mother was a free spirit and not enduring life as a mother. As soon as the son reached one year of life she decided to start to venture again to the swordcoast, leaving his father, Sandor Cain, the task of raising his son, a task he was not interested in as finding way more confort with the silent death and the spirits of the bottle.

Harian grew up mostly in the church of Kelemvor, raised by the other priests and acolytes of the Lord of the Death. They taught him the faith with the hope he could become a priest like his father in the future, but the martial skills and physical activity were more suited for the young boy. When not forcing himself to study theology, he was spending his days wrestling with other kids and training with the blade, the church approved such behavior believing the path of a Paladin could have been more suited for him, but destiny had other plans...

Harian was just 16 when his father sold him as a slave to the Xanathar guild to pay his debts, he was knocked out and brought to Skullport, where he was tortured, and forced in training to became a slave-soldier of the guild. He will never forgive his father for what he did and wonders what the church did after learning of his disappearance.

For five years he was a slave-guard of the Beholder organization, working as muscle and protector of many things. He was more lucky than most of the slaves that are just sold to work in mines or as offerings to the many underdark races that dwell in the skullport. The Slavers of the guild saw his potential and decided to keep him with them, obviously at first he tried to free himself, but he was always found and punished before he could go far. Knowing that death would not scare him, being a follower of the god of the dead, the slavers threatened to kill other slaves if he didn't behaved, and so he did.

In his time as a Slave, he learned the Trade-tongue of the underdark and had to work with many Orogs, Duergars, Drows, Derro and even Mind-flayers. His jobs ranged from protecting a client as a bodyguard, guarding contraband goods, punishing debtors and above all making a good impression on Xanathar, one thing the slavers took care of was to never ruin his face. For that reason even if his body is full of whip marks and pain, his face does not show a scratch, as they tried to make him appreciable for drow culture. As much as a human can be.

His five years as a slave changed him, as much as his faith held him steadfast on a spiritual point of view, he became more pessimistic, more willing to bow his head and please his masters. He did many things he will not be proud of, and did not always act in the best interest of others, but did what he had to do to survive and safeguard other slaves like himself.

His freedom came when a guild mage assigned him to protect him in a ritual that was supposed to open a portal to another plane, and bring allies to Skullport. It did not work. Even today, Harian wonders if it was really an accident or if the ritual had been compromised. But it is not important, having been sucked into an unstable magical portal, the boy could have ended up in any plane of existence, but instead he ended up in the center of the multiverse, in the city of doors.

After removing his collar from his neck, he decided to take this second chance, a new world with a bizarre new city. a chance to find purpose...

And so he started walking, in search of a purpose, a family, something worthy fighting for, and maybe, the affection his former family never gave him.

AFTER SIGIL:

Harian spent his first cycles looking for friends and companions who would explain the way in the middle of the cage. The Sensate Jessamine Tockenspire, Bleaker Aria, Ranger Durlan, Godsman MacLasiar O'Fearghail and Indep Xin earned his respect and trust.

The young man, no longer a slave, was almost convinced that he was entering the service of the Doomguard, being the faction closest to the teachings of Kelemvor, but all this fell apart when in a discussion with the Athar, he discovered the cruelty and injustice behind the Wall of the faithless.

Deciding that his faith would no longer chain him to ignorance and convinced to seek the truth with his strength, he made reaching the wall his mission, and see it with his own eyes.

Not being convinced of the way of the Doomguard anymore (More than anything else of their members being out of their minds), asked the Athars to take him under their Wing and be his masters. They refused, and this led to a deep hatred of the factions of Sigil, who mourn their need for men due to the war against the Alliance of change and yet do nothing about it.

With a depressed and furious mind he moved to the town of Hopeless where he spends most of his time, occasionally returns to Sigil for some Bashers meeting or gathering, but who is close to him notices his emotional change.

His time in Hopeless was not long, The Sensate known as Tasha met him and managed to give him hope by showing him places that gave the warrior hope.

A hope that was not long, after failing his Doomguard entry test and after a mysterious event that led to the clients of Chirpers being poisoned, Harian suspected that the Doomguards themselves were responsible for this act. As this event increased the rivalry between Indep and Harmonium and the Sinkers obviously want to spark this clash. Foolishly expressed his theory of his to a Mercykiller, who took this as an accusation, and arrested him for accusing another faction.

Due to rivalries that will remain for the most part a mystery, the Berk was killed in Newit Street by Rosaline Astair of the Fated, and his body burned to prevent resurrection, no one will mourn him, The wall at the end took his soul....
