You emit an eardrum bursting scream that deafens and damages creatures in its path. Any creature within the area is deafened for 4d6 rounds, is stunned for 1 round, and takes 1d6 points of sonic damage per caster level (maximum 12d6). A successful Fortitude save negates the stun effect and reduces the damage and deafness duration by half.
Greater Shout cannot penetrate a Silence spell.
