The Bell-Striker of Hillard's Bay

Athletic and young, Fabienne Bellamy Rodier spent most of her free time in growing up on Hillard's Bay with an entirely important profession - she would strike the Bells. Now, understand here, basher... these aren't just your average bells. They are massive, loud, and sound off very important events. New drinks being served at the tavern...? Fabienne strikes those bells. Attacks from Oceanus by raiders or monsters or the Demonic Prince of the Depths rising a tentacle to provoke some sort of fish-transforming horror upon all of the Bay? Fabienne strikes those bells. It was a challenging task but one that earned her notoriety even in that small town. Most folks that know her from the younger Bay dwellers understand that her particular flair for swordsmanship and diligence earned her particular favor from none other than The Dashing Astral Fox. Of course, when she tells us here in Sigil about that sort of affiliation, most cutters assume the name-drop is just to make her sound more impressive.

But First, The Coat and Hat

Fabienne is of medium height, rather grown into her build although she retains the awkward lankiness of her youth; limbs are long and athletically toned and body seems to have just settled on the cusp of something belonging to womanliness. Decorated in colors of deep blues and aged, old leathers, she is rarely seen without a pair of large, curved blades at her waist which she carries with exceptional ease despite their apparent weight from how they tug on the various belts and adornments clinging to her waist. Dressing in all of the rageful and masculine fashions belonging to professional sailing men and your booze-soaked pirate, she hides her small frame and slight shoulders under a decorative, old Captain's coat. Rarely Fabienne discards a fashionable hat atop her unevenly cropped locks - adorned with only the most extravagant feather available. But despite all of the efforts to seem imposing and intimidating, Fabienne's baby-face and cheery disposition quickly call to question any actual threat the young pirate might bestow. Those silvery-blue eyes of hers remain the most striking feature, especially with her efforts to paint her dark lids with smudgy shadows and kohl as to add to her intimidating visage without quite realizing the contrast the "war paint" offers in making her seem all the more youthful and vibrant. Freckled from her face and shoulders, her complexion and skin appear even and unmarred save for the callouses at her fingers and the thin upset of white scars lining her arms from the years that welcomed her expertise in the art of swordsmanship. The small, aspiring Captain smells often of dryfire tobacco leaves - earthy and pleasant.

The Harpsichord and Sigil-Bound

Fabienne Bellamy Rodier got her first employment on the very large, cargo ship The Harpsichord. And for the young girl, it was love at first sight. The ship was fitted with massive cannons, towering masts, and sails that streamed a deep scarlet color. It was everything she was hoping for in working along with a crew and for that entire year, she would serve The Harpsichord and her crew with discipline and diligence. Until the tanar'ri threat in the Outlands began to grow and soon turned to a thriving reality for Fabienne Rodier. One of the four surviving crew of the annihilated Harpsichord, Fabienne returned to the Hillard's Bay with the others to speak of what had transpired and to tell all who would listen to the very truth of the ship's ruination: it was laid to waste by hissing, carrion-spreading vrocks. All of its cargo now rested along with the majority of its crew, nestled to Oblivion on the Oceanus' depths.

Fabienne Rodier is willing to tell anyone who listens in Sigil the details of the ship's destruction and came to the City of Doors in search of very particular planewalkers who she no doubt believes will be able to help defend Hillard's Bay should the time call for it and should the Bay suffer a true invasion from the demonic opposition swelling in the Outlands.

The City of Doors and Miss Rodier

Upon arriving in Sigil, Fabienne has made many new associates and conducts her interests with a friendly and open disposition for any who gives her time for conversation. While strongly persuaded by others to join various Factions, from The Doomguard to The Godsmen and even a few more delightful convictions offered in joining the Sensates, Fabienne seems content to remain Independent. It's making getting any standing within the City of Doors difficult, but her positive and jubilant demeanor seems almost infectious - like a strange display of incessant, effortless hope.

Captain of the Mirrorshard

Lots of sods have visited the Bay of late on account of it being a more welcoming, hospitable place even with the piracy, prostitution, and the occasional bar-fight that ends with a few broken arms or Nancy shooting a body's brains out. But for all its problems, the Council have done well to employ the aid of their Bay Militia to keeping some stability and Order and seeing justice dealt out. Business is resuming as usual aided by none other than Factor Balthazar De'Medici of the Godsman. One of the most striking installations the Factor has made to the benefit of Hillard's Bay is the enormous War Rig docked out just a little further from reach than the hired vessels that pay their fees and dues to situate themselves in the Bay.

The Mirrorshard is a galleon by size and proportion but harboring massive cannons on her side and pulsing with strange, weird magicks and mechamancy the likes of which her new Captain will boast means she can take to fly and at speeds twice as fast than by water. After proving herself capable in her work under Julian Egmont of S&J Transport, it's known around town and even in some wards of Sigil that Fabienne is now the war rig's rightful Captain. She speaks often now of getting volunteers together, not asking for any blood to sign themselves away to her crew, but to instead hire out other planewalkers to help when help is needed. But how quick a berk is to take joining a pirating (or as polite company say, 'privateering') vessel that clearly remains ever guided by the hand of that very influential Factor remains ever to be seen.
