Faction:

She has been studying the factions since arrival. She has not claimed a faction as yet, but has narrowed it down to the Society of Sensation or the Transcendent Order. While these may appear very different, it is true to her self. She views her goals are very much in line with the Ciphers, however the way she chooses to experience the world is much more akin to a Sensate.

Origin:

She is the granddaughter of a Djinn on her mother's side. Her father is a human planer traveler of unknown origin. Her home world is the quasi elemental plane of lightning.

Known Languages:

Auran, Aguan, Trade Common. She has one more language due her from her INT that has never been picked.

Accomplishments:

Her first foray from home took her to the plane of Air where she studied with a small monk order called the Four Winds. She had a brief romantic relationship with one of the brothers there. When things broke off between them, an awkwardness set in and she choose to move on.

From there she made her way to the Prime world of Toril. Particularly the land of Calimshan where Djinn like her grandmother and Efreet were known to travel. There she met up with young magi who, after having determined Nyssa had a latent talent for it, took her on as an understudy. She learned from the young woman eagerly. All was not well nor meant to last however. The ambitious young mage had allied herself with an equally ambitious and overreaching Pasha. Needless to say, when things turned poorly for the Pasha, Nyssa found herself without a mentor and needing to get out of Calimshan else she soon meet the same fate. Nyssa, escaped via a door to the World Serpent.

She decided she was ready to move on to the her ultimate destination. Sigil. She knew from there she could reach to nearly anywhere. It was the secrets of the multiverse she wished to learn. What better place to act as her base than the City of Doors. While here she has undergone a number of adventures and explorations including trips across the Outlands, the Elemental Planes of Air, Earth, Fire and Water. She has also visited the Ethereal, all three layers of the Beastlands, an alternate Prime filled with great lizard beasts and briefly ventured through Mechanus.

Of all these, it is ironically checking out an incident in the Market Ward within Sigil itself that proved to be the most painful and nearly deadly. Investigating tunneling creatures that had killed a lightboy, she ventured with others into the bowels of Sigil's underbelly. While in the sewers she was knocked into the filth water amidst a host of these burrowing beasts and a fellow magi. The magi unfortunately choose to wipe out the beasts with a blast of lightning. Now Nyssa is immune to normal electricity, but only slightly resistant to the magical kind. Water, she knows all too well, magnifies the effects of an electrical discharge. The bolt her traveling companion released nearly killed them both, bringing each within a hairsbreadth of life. Fortunately it did slay all the beasts in the water and friends were able to pull her out of the muck and provide emergency healing. Nyssa has a strong aversion to water from this moment on. She was never fond of it before and that aversion has only strengthened from this incident.

Goals:

While many of her kin believe that ingratiating oneself with the right deity is the path to power, Nyssa believes it can only come from perfecting oneself through the acquiring and practiced use of knowledge. She came to this conclusion after years of observation of the many deities that visited the Plane of Lightning. She feels that what makes them Powers is their knowledge. They simply have learned far more of the multiverse's secrets than we and so have ascended to the heights that they have. In this she is much akin to the Ciphers. Her desire then is to travel the multiverse to both learn and practice as much as she can to perfect herself.

Nyssa is very loyal to those she claims as friends.

She is a firm believer in giving back when you have received. She looks to help the Clueless just as she was helped when she first arrived.
