Gatecrashers

Gatecrashers see themselves as cosmic free agents, independent forces who can influence the natives of the planes and even the dynamic forces of magical itself. They are the tricksters of the multiverse, often testing the valiant, derailing the grasping, and deflating the egotistical. Their instinctive understanding of the nature of the universe allows them to perform actions that would otherwise be beyond them.

Gatecrashers see what they do as an art, not a science. The ability to choose the right moment to strike, the correct word to utter, the right rock to move, is more intuition than conscious thought. Gatecrashers can come from any class, although many learned the mischievous attitude of a Gatecrasher when they were rogues or bards. Gatecrashers can be found among other planar travellers, usually picking at the fabric of the universe and seeing what unravels.

Lesser Planar Binding

The Gatecrasher can cast Lesser Planar Binding as a spell-like ability once each day.

Bonus Planar Language

At 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th level, a gatecrasher gains a bonus language commonly spoken on other planes. The Gatecrasher may choose Abyssal, Aquan, Auran, Celestial, Ignan, Infernal, or Terran.

Comprehension

Upon reaching 2nd level, a Gatecrasher understands the basic conflicts of forces and energies and can use this to instinctive understanding to assist certain skills. The Gatecrasher gains +2 competence bonus to the following skills: Decipher Script, Disable Traps, Use Magic Device.

Silver Tongue

A Gatecrasher can deal with a variety of creatures and characters, gaining a +2 insight bonus to Bluff, Persuade, and Intimidate checks, as well as the ability to Charm Monster once a day. (DC: 14+Cha modifier)

Manipulate Portal

The Gatecrasher is able to manipulate portals (or a color pool, ethereal curtain, etc) and change their destination for everyone in his party.

Summon Spell Dampening

The Gatecrasher is capable of muting all Conjuration-based effects and spells in the area, resulting in a 100% spell failure chance for all Conjuration spells. He may do this 3 times per day, and the effect lasts 10 rounds.

Plane Shift

At 3rd Level, the Gatecrasher can cast Plane Shift as a spell-like ability once per day. This increases to 2x/day at 5th level, 3x/day at 7th level, and 4x/day at 9th level.

Planar Displacement

The Gatecrasher has learned how to distort the very fabric of the planes, resulting in an invisibility effect which also offers 50% concealment, akin to an Improved Invisibility spell. He gains another use of this ability at level 10.

Planar Binding

The Gatecrasher can cast Planar Binding as a spell-like ability once each day.

Planar Survival

The Gatecrasher has adapted and is not subject to the natural hazards of the plane he's on, such as the fires of the elemental plane of fire, the diseases and apathy of Hades, the acidic rain of Gehenna, the carelessness of Elysium, etc. He is still subject to any other fire damage, diseases, acid damage, and so on.

Scramble Portal

Three times per day, the Gatecrasher is capable of randomizing the destination of a portal (or a color pool, ethereal curtain, etc). This ability takes effect within 10 seconds of being cast on the portal, and lasts for 1 turn per Gatecrasher level.

Dimensional Anchor

The Gatecrasher can cast Dimensional Anchor as a spell-like ability once each day.

Planar Tempest

Once per day, the gatecrasher can rip a vortex in the fabric of the planes that will toss his enemies at random anywhere around the multiverse. (Reflex DC: 12+level+Intelligence modifier)

Planar Dampening

The Gatecrasher is capable of muting and negating ALL planar effects in the area (This does not affect spells that have been cast, gates that have been opened, and creatures that have been summoned prior to the dampening effect). He may do this 3 times per day, and the effect lasts 10 rounds.

Greater Planar Binding

The Gatecrasher can cast Greater Planar Binding as a spell-like ability once each day.
